Our process
Every Unique Treasure starts long before the first stitch.
We pick the yarn ourselves. Soft, durable, color-true. Cotton for summer pieces, wool blends for blankets that get loved into adulthood, plush yarn for dolls and animals that survive being dragged around the house.
How a piece comes to life
1. The order
You place an order. We see who it's for, what it's for, and (if you tell us) what colors or sizing you want. Custom is welcome — just email info@uniquetreasures.co if you want to deviate from the listing.
2. Yarn selection
We pull the yarn for your specific piece. If we're matching a color in a photo you sent, we hold the swatch up to the light to make sure it's right.
3. Crochet
This is the slow part. A baby blanket is roughly 18–25 hours of work. A doll is 8–14. A bag is 6–10. Crochet doesn't get faster — that's the point. Total turnaround is 7–30 days depending on the piece and the queue.
4. Quality check
Before anything ships, we check stitch tension, weave-in any loose ends, and look it over in good daylight. If it's not right, we re-do it.
5. Wrap and ship
Each piece is wrapped in tissue, packed in a recyclable mailer, and tagged with care notes. DHL or FedEx tracked. You'll get a tracking number the day it goes out.
Why this way
Mass-produced "handmade" exists. We don't do it. Every piece in our catalog is crocheted by a real human in our Jerusalem studio. That's why we cap the monthly batch — a handful of us can only make so much, and we'd rather make it well.
